The way festivals are setup it allows a 3 day festival for example to be listed as a single event. I personally don't like this because I don't always attend every day of a festival. It makes more sense to me to have a separate event for each day of the festival. At least the way festivals events are created now. Perhaps in the future they will fix it so a single event can have the bands performing categorized by the date they actually perform and we can select the dates we attended.

To make the festival listings even more "gigography friendly" I am hoping for the return of the feature that let us pick the actual bands at a festival that we saw perform since multiple stage festivals make it impossible to see all performances.

I know we have the option to list a festival as separate days/events...but I'm guessing the Admins don't like this as I have seen events that I took the time to create into separate days/events just merged back into one big heap of bands into a single event.

I did connect my Pandora account, but it would seem that Songkick only looks at the artists whose stations I added. Pandora is great because it finds a stream of similar artists whose music I like. Could Songkick also inform me about the similar artists on Pandora? Does Pandora expose an API for you? I would even give you my Pandora credentials if that allowed you to do it.

In 2011 (and, I think, 2010) you ran a great "my year" feature where you gave each use stats about the gigs and artists that they had seen during that year. The URL was, for example, http://myyear.songkick.com/davorg/2011

I was sorry to see that you haven't done that for 2012. But I was even more sorry to see that the URLs for previous years no longer work (they now just redirect to the main Songkick web site). I had linked to to 2011 version in my blog post reviewing the year's gigs and I'm disappointed to see that the URL no longer does what it's supposed to do.

Is there any chance that you could fix that?

All my band's gigs are in New York. Its this provincial place where people wander about because there are no street signs yet. No addresses. businesses have no names.

That's what Songkick tells me every time I try to enter a gig on their service.
Cheap Charlies? Never heard of it. - Cheap Charlies is now on there after long email chain
East Bloomfield? What - that's in New Jersey, right?
Palmyra? Not in New York, son.
Tommys? Finns? Fandangos? Cottage Hotel? NO NO NO NO
Other services let me enter venues and addresses. Songkick probably does too, but the link to submit issues does not work. So it probably seems like no new venues have opened in awhile.
And any gig I list says we are playing our gig in a town at venue unknown after I have entered all the info and waited until the next day to see how the listing turns out. After the incomplete info is sent out everywhere. And after it repalces my band info with a different band of the same name from Australia.

I am happy to report that this time it does show the band I am actually in, playing in unknown venue, Macedon, NY. Which is not where we will be playing tonight, but thanks for trying.

After going to the trouble to join and then join this forum, I wonder if I am the only one to experience this amount of friction with this site?

Here is the listing for tonight: - http://www.songkick.com/artists/299705-red-sky
